I dreamt of poetry all night

I dreamt of poetry all night Great poems Written by me Something about Drinking warm beer By the heat of a Hurricane lamp When the lights went out

I heard you say something About my being A Serbian muse

That was the night You were asked to Please sleep by the Dumpster.

I guess reading Bukowski Can influence The Alpha Rhythms Of the Brain

Who’d have thought Your face would pop up As I lay in the arms of Morphius?

I dreamt of poetry all night Great poems Written by me And now I can’t remember A single line Not one damn word

So much for dreams And your little red balloon

As I rub the grit from my eyes I watch the last two lines Of the greatest poem The world will never know Dissolve into vaporous wisps

So much for inspiration…

Yeah, you said Keep on writing…
